Services to Schools & Colleges Connexions Somerset Limited is contracted to deliver impartial and universal Careers Information, Advice and Guidance (CIAG), on behalf of Somerset County Council until 2010. Service provision includes offering CIAG to young people aged 13-19 (up to 25 for young people with learning disabilities and/or difficulties), in or out learning, together with an offer of support to schools and colleges in developing and delivering high quality Careers Education programmes.

Services to Parents, Guardians & Carers The teenage years play an important role in future choices. Decisions, experiences and performance during these years can have a significant influence on an individual’s future. Connexions can provide impartial advice and information on career, education, training and employment choices.
Parents play an important role in these decisions and Connexions Somerset offers support to parents to help their teenager make choices about their future.
Services to Employers Connexions Somerset understands that employers contribute in numerous ways to the progression and development of young people. Connexions’ aim is to support employers.
How We Operate Staff from Connexions Somerset visit schools, colleges, and work within the local community. They provide information, advice and guidance to young people through one to one advice and/or group work sessions.
